On Tuesday February 6 2018 we released a CNCnetPDM device driver for machines with Siemens Sinumerik 840D SL or 828D controllers that work with OPC UA. You can use this driver for controllers with Sinumerik Operate 4.5 (>= SP3), 4.7 or 4.8.

It enables high speed data collection with sampling rates down to 1 second. Writing and changing of parameters on these devices is also supported.

SINUMERIK OPC UA DRIVER

This highly configurable device driver enables you to acquire ALL (> 3000!) queryable OPC items. A set with reasonable default values is included. As with OPC Classic all items can be adjusted on a per machine basis according to your needs! Writing of data is supported via CNCnetControl.

Please note that CNCnetPDM 4.9.0.2 is required for this driver.
