On January 31 2018 we released a CNCnetPDM device driver for machines equipped with Siemens Sinumerik 840D controllers that work with OPC Classic (DA). This is most likely the case if your controller has a MS Windows OS and does NOT run Sinumerik Operate >= 4.5 SP3. This device driver enables high speed data collection with sampling rates down to 1 second. You can also write and change parameters on these devices.
NOTE: With this driver you do not have to install any 'Software Adapter' at the controller!
SINUMERIK OPC CLASSIC DRIVER
This highly configurable device driver collects OEE machine states, information about nc program execution, part counter, spindle speed, feed rate, tools and override settings. All acquired items can be adjusted on a per machine basis according to your needs, a list of queryable OPC items is also included! Writing of data is supported via CNCnetControl.
Please note that CNCnetPDM 4.9.0.2 is required for this driver.
