Yesterday, on 8/202017 we released CNCnetPDM 4.9.0.0. This version includes several new features and improvements:
An INI file for new installations is automatically created with reasonable default values, existing configurations do not get overwritten.
It is now possible to startup CNCnetPDM in 'Offline' mode, no database setup is needed in this case.
The maximum size of offline files can now be adjusted.
Acquired items can now be sent to adjustable output sections. This enables you build groups of items and place long values (e.g. axis data) into an own section.
CNCnetPDM now checks for existent and valid device drivers and reports the result into the log file of the device.
Error reporting from device drivers and its underlying components is now fully supported. Error messages from manufacturer specific APIs (e.g. FOCAS or MISUBISHI) are automatically translated and written to a log file. This enables you to find out and resolve issues quickly.
We also released fanucext.dll 1.8.0.0 an improved version of our extended device driver for Fanuc controllers. In addition to switchable output sections for each item this driver now supports error reporting from the underlying Fanuc FOCAS components to CNCnetPDM.
